Perserverence will Pay Off

Today has been a good, but not-so-good day. First of all, whichever JackA$$ installed the window unit in my bedroom should burn in...well, maybe not that bad. Anyway, the window unit in my bedroom (air conditioning) was installed slanting in. Well, the water runs in. Apparently while I was gone all day on Saturday this happened, the water laid on the hardwood floor, thus warping about three boards. I'm a bit agitated. My Mom came on Monday night and tried to fix it with me, but it didn't work out and it was back to leaking. I had to turn the unit off and solely rely on the air in the living room to filter back here. Needless to say, it's hot. I really want to call my landlord and ask her to have someone come fix it, but the idots she hires always break, scratch, or ruin something. I am going to call her tomorrow from work and make it very clear that they will have to come on a Saturday to fix it because I must be home. I don't care if they can't come for a month, I don't want them here when I'm not home. Whew! Glad I got that off my chest!

Anyway, like the title of my post? It's true! Wanna know how I know?

1) Michael and I have been broken up for 1 month and 5 days today. Everyday it seems to get a little easier, then there are day that seem harder then others. I would say that it's not as hard as I thought it would be, but it's still pretty rough sometimes. I know that I can continue on like I have been and before you know it I will be out of the rough patches and on to being my happy self.

2) Since we have broken up, I started dieting. I've lost 7 lbs. so far.

3) As part of my diet, I have disciplined myself to drink at least 3- 16oz. bottles of water a day. According to weight watchers, it's very important that you get your water. I'm almost done with my 3rd bottle for today.

4) I've been counting my points, and excersizing. I just got in the house from walking 2 miles with Pam. I ate 2 vegitarian hot dogs for supper with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. Only 6 pts. for supper! Woo hooo.

I am very dead set on 'getting rid' of this weight. Notice I'm not "losing" it, because I don't want to find it again.

Well, I'm off to work on that dreaded homework I talked about last night. After this evening I should be 1/2 way done with the first unit.

Make sure you eat all your daily points - the weight will come off quicker... (learning the hard way)

Way to go on the dieting! That's great!!! I need to drink more water too......need to seriously do something about that!

Bummer about the A/C...especially when it's so friggen hot out. Hopefully they get in there soon!
