Quick weekend...
UGH! It's Monday already?!?! If you haven't realized it yet, I absolutely hate Mondays. I have been over my head in scheduling and while I am sick, it isn't helping!
Saturday night was fun. We went and ate dinner then rented "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigalo" and came back to my house to watch it. I was in a bed by 11, thats how shitty I was feeling. I drank one tequila sunrise and I called it a night.
We went to Bojangles for breakfast with the usual Sunday morning crew, then back to the Toyota dealership so Corey could pick up his liscense plate, then to the mall, and to Hooters for lunch. Almost sounds like a replay of last Sunday, except this Sunday it was me, Duncan, Pam and Corey.
I went and visited Michael's parents Sunday night and then went and ate dinner with Beth and Steve. I was in bed by 8:30 last night.
I havne't felt any better today. I am off tomorrow. I have a doctors appointment in the morning, wish me luck!

OK, I am warning you- this post might be excessively long!
Thursday was
horrible! Around 3:30 I was sitting at my desk and I was feeling really nauseous. I walked to my mom's office, (she works in a different building) and told her how I was feeling. By the time I got there, the vision in my left eye was totally blurry. I walked upstairs to visit the ladies up there and my left arm went numb. So, I walked back downstairs to tell my mom about that and my lips were numb. She was afraid I was having some sort of stroke and rushed me to the emergency room. After 2 and 1/2 hours they concluded that I have TMJ. Yippee! There is nothing they can do for it, I just have to be extra careful.
Well, Thursday night was my supposed to be my first test in my Thursday night class, but lucky for me my teacher let me slid and told me that I could take it February 9th, as we do not have class next week. My bother drove me all over Thursday night because I was still feeling squeamish.
I left my parents house around 8 on Thursday night and stopped to see Michael, who is also sick. It seems to me like it was a case of exhaustion. He has been working 10 hour days, 6 days a week. I don't know how he does it! I laid down with him for a while and left around 9 to come home and sleep in my own bed.
My mom stayed with me Thursday night because she was afraid I would get sick and have no one here to take care of me. I was fine, but none the less we called in sick on Friday. I woke up with a blistering headache, but after some breakfast I was fine. I hung out with Mom all day at her house and went to pick up Michaels little sister from school around 3. My brothers girlfriend came to see us (She goes to school in PA) this weekend, she got to my moms around 3:30. I hung out there all afternoon, then Scott, Karrie, Me and Duncan went out to eat, to visit Aaron and Beka, then back to my parents house to watch "Into The Blue".
I got home around 12:30 this morning only to have to get up again to go to Beka's birthday party at noon. I usual I was late. Mom, Dad, Scott and Karrie came too. We had a good time and Beka got lots of cute stuff. We went to the mall on the way home so Scott could buy some new clothes. The power flashed while we were in the mall, it was really freaky, for like 30 seconds the entire mall was pitch black! We of course stopped by Aunt Annies pretzels for pretzels and lemonade, then came home.
I am hanging around the house now, then around 6:30 we are all going out to eat, Me, Scott, Karrie, Duncan, David and Jamie. David is my brothers friend from his old job, and Jamie is his girlfriend who also graduated with me. It should be fun!
More fun over here....
Afternoon. I have been crazy busy at work all morning and haven't had time to do the smallest amount of web surfing, let alone blogging.
I had a blast with Aaron and Rebeka last night. We went and ate Mexican food before going to the mall. Aaron went home and left the shopping to the women. Wooo hoo! (Bad idea). We went back to their house after our shopping trip and made homemade baby shower invitations for someone in Aaron's family. Of course, I watched American Idol....some people...ugh, don't get me started.
I gave in, I called Michael last night and left a message for him to call me. When I got up this morning, I was in the shower....happens to also be the place where I do most of my thinking! Anyway, I was in the shower and I was thinking about calling him again since he would be on his way to work. I got out of the shower and when I went back into the bedroom I had a missed call. It was him! Y'ay. I called him right back and he was nice, but I got a weird vibe out of the conversation. Oh well...everything could be perfectly fine and its just me over exaggerating things and analyzing them to much.
I got my W-2 this afternoon, I started to check out my income taxes, and it looks like I am going to be doing pretty good this year! I get a deduction because of the sales tax I paid on my car. I am sure I can dig up more deductions! Cross your fingers for me. The more money the merrier. I have a credit card I want to pay off, and I owe my parents some money that I would love to pay back in one giant lump sum!
I have class tonight, ugh! We just have a test though, maybe she will let us take it and go home! That would be great, but I won't hold my breath!
Gotta run, more stuff to do before I go home....
So busy on a Wednesday?
I have been
incredibly busy at work today. Part of my job is to schedule courses to be taught for 4 different departments, can someone say HEADACHE! I am soooo tired of looking at enrollments, times, rooms, computer screens.....etc. The trauma won't end until Fall registration begins, then it will only being until Spring registration....it
never really ends! Oh well, I love my job, but sometimes I get fed up- I am impatient and I want to get stuff done like
NOW, where everyone I work with drags their feet and don't e-mail you back for a week.
Last night was a blast, the Annual 2006 MRO Caution was AWESOME.
Anita Renfroe was the speaker. That woman is hilarious! Y'all- If you haven't seen her you've got to.....I have not had that much fun in a long time.
Tonight I am going to spend the night with my friend Rebeka and her husband. I drove myself to work today because my car pool pals were supposed to work overtime, and that is something I
do not do! I am staying with Rebeka and Aaron because they live close to here and then I don't have to drive the hour back home, plus I love hanging out with them. I would love for me and Michael to be that happy one day!
Speaking of Michael, I haven't talked to him since Sunday and it's starting to get to me. I mean it's not like we are fighting or anything- but I would like to hear from him once in a while. I refuse to call him and look needy. Also, when I talked to him on Sunday I told him I wouldn't see him this week because I would be to busy, so maybe he isn't calling because he knows we won't get to spend time together. Ughhh..MEN- Just another great reason to love Anita Renfroe!
Gotta run, its 4:30 and I have some stuff to tie up before I can leave!

Alright, so it's 7:00 and I am waiting on my friend Beth to call so I can go to dinner with her and her boyfriend. I thought about calling Duncan to see if he wanted to join us, but I didn't want it to come across the wrong way and Michael is sick and well, he just isn't a spur of the moment kinda guy- we have to have plans to hang out like a week in advance and even then they fall thru about 45% of the time-thanks to him....he's so responsible! NOT!
I was in a shitty mood on the way home from work today, but I am in a much better mood tonight. I am gonna go eat with Beth and Steve, then come home and work on some scholarship applications and watch 'The Bachelor: Paris', I am sooo hooked on the hot ER Doctor from Nashville, TN. I might have to grab a newspaper while I am out so I can read the latest too! I am so old sometimes!
I discovered tonight on the way home that I am like super busy this week for some unknown reason. I have the MRO Caution tomorrow night, I am staying with my friend Rebekah on Wednesday night because we are dumb like that, I have school Thursday night, then on Friday....well its Friday! Yeee Haw!
I am kinda wondering if anyone is reading my blog or if I am talking to myself? Leave a comment if you are so I know I have some friends! Just say 'Hi' or something....I just wanna know someone finds me interesting.....or not?!?

Mondays SUCK!
Hey Y'all,
I am so bored at work, hence the reason I
hate Mondays! I am ready to sleep or something. The good news is that I get off in 30 minutes! Y'ay! I am probably gonna go home and clean my house, then hit the bed a bit early! L-A-Z-Y!
I really wished I had something 'wonderful' to blog about, but the truth is I probably won't have anything fantastic all week. Tomorrow night I am going to the annual Motor Racing Outreach Women's Jan. Caution so I will miss American Idol. Boo! I will have to get someone to TiVo it fro me! Wednesday nothing is going on that I know of, Thursday I have school, and Friday is just another weekend with no money!
Well, gonna run and check my online class. Sorry I am so boring, maybe I will go home and think of something intelligent to post!
What a friggin' night/weekend!
Wow! I had fun this weekend......Duncan came over last night around 6 and I fixed supper for us. Quesadilas was on the menu. Then we started drinking. I took a shot of Jose, y'all know the deal...salt, liquor, lime (except we used an orange cause it's better). Anyway, he took a shot and I took 2, then Pam and Corey called to tell us they were on the way to pick us up to go get a movie and some more to drink. We were both a little toasted when we left with them, which happened to make the whole shopping trip quite exciting. We made enough noise in Blockbuster that everyone knew we were under the infulence, in Ingles we went ga ga over a so-called GIANT lemon that was actually a WHITE GRAPEFRUIT! DUH! Then we went to Food Lion to get some Smirnoff that Ingles didn't carry, and we were almost back to our sober selves. We had fun while it lasted.
When we got back here to the apartment we had a blast. Duncan invited Michael over, but he didn't show. I hate to say it, but I told him so. Michael came and stayed with me on Thursday night, there was no way he was gonna come hang out on Saturday night....that might look like he cared or something. (I talked to him on the phone a few minutes ago, and he claims he is sick and he went to bed early.....I never know with him, he has been known to lie to me about dumb shit before.) Anyway, the four of us had a blast. We played Twister and Rummy. We rented "Four Brothers" at blockbuster and it played while we played Rummy, but we never really watched it, we were laughing to hard to hear most of it. Around midnight Duncan jumped into bed and we ate waffles in my room, this was messy but fun. Pam and Corey left around 12:30 and we crashed out.
This morning when we woke up we met Pam and Corey at Bojangles for breakfast. Then I followed Duncan to his house to hang out together for a while. (Now y'all, before I say anymore I must tell you that even though Duncan is my best guy friend, there is nothing going on other then some mild flirting. Hell yeah I think he's hot, but I would never think of messing with him because it would most likely ruin our friendship. Michael claims to know that I would never mess with Duncan and says he isn't worried about anything.) We hung out there until about 1:39 abd then we went to Concord with Pam, Corey and my brother Scott. We went to the Toyota dealership to get some info for Pam and Corey, then to the mall. I didn't buy anything other then some sour gummy worms at the delicious mall candy store. We picked out 2 candles that smelled really fruity for Duncan's mom, then headed home to watch the Panthers vs. Seahawks. Me, Duncan, Pam and Corey all hung out in Pam and Coreys living room watching the game and eathing pizza delivererd from Pizza Hut. I took him home around 9 and now I am here typing this post. I called Michael and talked to him on the way in the apartment. I don't know why, but I am so weak when I hear his voice. He sounded so sick, he barely had a voice and it was obvious that his head was stuffed up. Awll, hope my baby gets to feeling better soon!

A Little Insight.....
Alright, I have decided that before I begin blogging on a regular basis I should tell you who I am.
From the title of my blog, you have probably concluded that my name is Ashley. You're correct! I am a pre-communications major with a minor in Sociology. I hope to one day be a motivational speaker on the topics of abstinence and drug abuse/use. I have a passion to want to help other people and that is exactly what I intend to do.
I have been 'seeing' Michael for almost 4 years. We only dated for a year, but we have been continusly together without the title for 3 years, and
no there hasn't been anyone else. Its a hard situation to explain and apparently without the title of 'boyfriend and girlfriend' the pressure to make a commitment isn't as obvious. Whatever! As long as he behaves himself and remembers who he loves, I don't care what he does....and I have a little hope in the back of my mind that one day, just one day we might be together forever!
I am surrounded by great friends and a wonderful family. In June of 2005 I moved out of my parents house and out on my own for the first time. I work full time at a local university as an office manager and I love my job. I go to school at night and work during the day, I stay very busy. Duncan is one of my best guy friends. He is somebody that is a lot like me and we relate to one another, funny or not- Michael and him used to work together. Scott is my older brother- he is 21, going to be 22 in August. He is an awesome brother. In December of 2005 he co-signed for me to purchase my first
brand new car- a 2006 Scion TC. Of course we are brother and sister so there are the occasional bickering spats and such, but for the most part we get along very well. He has a great girlfriend Karrie who is going to school in another state, but they are awesome together- and along with Mom and Dad, we all have our fingers crossed that she is "the one".
My parents are great. They have been married 25 years. They raised Scott and I to be strong and independent, and for that I am forever greatful. They are really very close to us, which I think is important when you are a teenager growing up- being able to talk to my parents about anything is something that I have always valued.
My oldest friend Pam got married in April of 2005 to her husband, Corey. Michael introduced them sometime in the end of 2003 and it was apparently love at first sight. They are great for each other. We have a lot of fun hanging out. Even though they are married, they don't fit the "old married couple" sterotype!
Well, I hope I have given you enough information. I am not sure where I want this blog to go. More then likely I will post something everyday about my day and what I did. How know's it might turn out to be interesting!
I'm off to visit some friend now, and later everyone is coming here for some drinking!
Here's to new beginnings....
I am going to make an attempt at keeping a blog. I read all these other blogs and they are sooo good, I can only hope to be as good as some of them!
I really don't have a reason for beginning a blog, this will really be like some sort of diary or daily journal for me to express my thoughts. Sometimes, I need someone to listen so this will be my 'venting blog'.
